What is your theme for this year?

In the course of leading my seminars for boomers in midlife or entering retirement, I have repeatedly noticed participants setting goals to improve their health and fitness.   Evidently, at this time of year, this is a goal that many people set, so we have the wind in our sails as we collectively set out to get in better shape all at the same time.  The photo here is of me last fall, cycling for fitness and pleasure almost daily (except through the coldest rainy days of our west coast winters)

Perhaps holistic health and fitness is a central theme for you this year? If so, and if you reside in the BC lower mainland, consider attending my colleague Lise Wearing’s seminar Holistic Approach to Weight Heaven on January 26, in Vancouver. Visit her website www.liseonlife.com and click on the Seminar tab for more info.

If this is not your main theme for this year, I encourage you to set a powerful one that represents the essence of what you most want to accomplish this year. This theme will provide an intentional framework that will help guide your decisions and actions; it will be like your True North informing you as you strive to stay on your course,  month by month, week by week and day by day, so you can reach the destination you want.  For example, for some of you, this might be the year of career change, or the year of finding a life partner, or the year of turning a retirement into a dynamic re-engagement, or getting into a higher level of education.  Whatever it is, a theme you focus on frequently and keep foremost in mind will support you as you navigate forward into the realization of your dreams and the fulfillment of your potential.  Make it your best year ever!
